We Do Great Design. Square Footage is a detail oriented, full service design firm with a wide range of experience including residential and commercial building design, construction supervision, interior, furniture design as well as graphic design.

From the onset, our intent is to thoroughly analyze and understand the specific issues required to develop a resolution to a variety of design challenges. Exploration of each of these facets of design continually results in informing and expanding the understanding of each other facet of design. The process is an active collaboration between the client and the designer in order to fulfill the needs and ultimate potential of each design challenge or project. Our design process intends to result in the act of making a tangible form specifically tailored to satisfy the needs and desires of each client.

Martin Casteran, Associate member of the American Institute of Architects (A.I.A.), founded Square Footage in April 1994 in Santa Monica, California.

Martin Casteran, Principal & Founder Martin has been practicing in the field of Architecture since 1974. He completed his undergraduate studies in architecture at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1983. His early experiences introduced him to institutional, residential and commercial as well as the process that a project follows from inception to completion. In 1984, the opportunity arose to relocate to Los Angeles area to work for Wahlquist and Assoc. for the Embassy Suites and the Granada Royal Hometels with projects in the sunbelt states.
